THE EAST SIDE UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT IS GOING ZERO WASTE

The East Side Union High School District has partnered with the San Jose Conservation Corps to manage a new program to collect and process recyclable and compostable materials to avoid sending these valuable resources to landfill.

It’s called “waste diversion,” and ESUHSD has set an ambitious goal to divert 90% of the waste collected on our campuses within 3 years. Before this effort, less than 10% of our waste is recycled or composted.

It will take participation of all our staff and students to reach this goal.
